Mogadishu (SONNA):— The Minister of Fisheries and Blue Economy of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Ahmed Hassan Aden, today officially launched the Fisheries Information Management System (FIMS) in Mogadishu.
The newly introduced FIMS data-collection project represents a significant step forward in strengthening fisheries data management, enabling the generation of accurate and organized statistics. The system will support evidence-based decision-making and promote research-driven policy development in Somalia’s fisheries sector.
