KINSHASA, DRC — Somalia’s Ambassador to Tanzania, H.E. Ilyaas Ali Hassan, held a significant bilateral meeting in Kinshasa with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Security of the Democratic Republic of Congo, H.E. Jacquemain Shabani.
The discussions focused on reinforcing the historical ties and expanding cooperation between the two African nations.
During the high-level meeting, the two officials explored several key areas of mutual interest. They reviewed the deep-rooted historical relationship that exists between Somalia and the DRC and discussed new opportunities for future collaboration.
A central theme of the discussion was the role of the Somali community residing in the DRC. Ambassador Hassan and Deputy Prime Minister Shabani addressed the importance of finding sustainable solutions to any challenges the community may face, ensuring their well-being and continued positive contribution to the country.
