Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, officially inaugurated the Somalia Internet Governance Forum 2025 (SIGF 2025), marking the third edition of the national digital policy platform.
The opening of the forum underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening digital infrastructure, expanding access to a secure and reliable internet, and promoting innovative, technology-driven public services.
The SIGF 2025 has become a key platform bringing together government institutions, technology companies, experts, and stakeholders to align Somalia’s vision for internet governance and harness emerging digital opportunities for the country’s future.
