Dar es Salaam (SONNA) – Somalia’s ambassador to Tanzania and the East African Community (EAC), Ilyas Ali Hassan, officially opened an Air Traffic Control (ATC) training program for 25 Somali civil aviation staff members in Dar es Salaam.
Ambassador Ilyas was joined by the Director General of the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA), Salim Msange, and other TCAA officials. The training, hosted by the Tanzanian government, is a crucial step in the ongoing efforts to rebuild and modernize Somalia’s civil aviation sector.
During the opening ceremony, Ambassador Ilyas thanked the government of Tanzania for hosting the training, as well as the TCAA and all other parties who contributed to making the program possible. He urged the participants to show dedication and responsibility, emphasizing the vital role their training will play in the development of Somalia’s aviation industry.
