MOGADISHU – A delegation from the European Union, including officials from the European Investment Bank, has conducted an inspection of the Mogadishu Port. The visit underscores the ongoing collaboration between Somalia and the European Union on economic and infrastructural development.
The delegation was led by the EU Ambassador to Somalia, Mrs. Francesca Di Mauro, and Mr. Sander Van Kooten, a senior official from the European Investment Bank for Eastern and Southern Africa. Upon their arrival, they were received by the Somali Minister of Finance, Biixi Iimaan Cige, and the Director of the Mogadishu Port, Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (America).
