Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mohamud Moalim Abdulle co-chaired a meeting with the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General to Somalia, George Conway on the impact of the El-Nino phenomenon and its effects.
The conference, attended by the leaders of various UN agencies, discussed the assessment plan for the El Nino flood disaster and how it has affected the country’s social and economic development.
The plan discussed also included evaluating the flood recovery system’s outcomes and the disaster capacity-building process in the country.
