Mogadishu, Somalia — The Somali National Army (SNA), in collaboration with local forces, has conducted clearing operations in several villages within the Daynuunaay area of the Bay Region. The operation successfully dismantled positions previously held by the Al-Shabaab terrorist group.
According to the Somali National News Agency (SONNA), the joint forces worked together to clear the strongholds, securing the area and preventing further militant activities. This operation is part of the Federal Government of Somalia’s broader campaign to weaken Al-Shabaab’s operational capacity, protect civilians, and restore stability across the country.
The military has intensified its operations in various regions, dealing significant blows to the extremist group and forcing its fighters to relocate.
