Hirshabelle Cabinet Meets to Discuss Elections, Reviews Security and Flood Risks

Jowhar, (SONNA) — The Council of Ministers of Hirshabelle State of Somalia, chaired by H.E. President Ali Hussein Guudlaawe, convened a meeting focused on preparations for the region’s upcoming elections.

During the session, Ismail Hassan Nur was appointed as Minister of Planning, while Ahmed Bariise Heydar was named Deputy Minister of Interior.

The cabinet also received updates from key ministries, including Interior, Security, Humanitarian Affairs, Agriculture, Religious Affairs, and Communications, outlining recent developments in their respective sectors.

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management warned of potential heavy rains and flooding, urging preparedness measures to mitigate possible impacts.
