Kuwait, (SONNA) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, on an official visit to Kuwait, has met with his Kuwaiti counterpart, H.E. Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Yahya, in the capital Kuwait City.
The two ministers discussed the strong ties between the brotherly nations and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors, exchanging views on recent regional and international developments.
Following the meeting, Somalia and Kuwait signed three agreements and memoranda of understanding aimed at deepening bilateral relations. These include the establishment of a joint committee to accelerate cooperation, an agreement on bilateral consultations, and a cooperation memorandum between the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute of Kuwait and the Diplomatic Studies Institute of Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
