Istanbul, (SONNA) – The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Daahir Shire Mohamed, accompanied by the Ministry’s Director General, Mr. Mohamed Hashi Arabey, held productive bilateral meetings with counterparts from Azerbaijan, Iraq, and Libya during the ongoing Istanbul Natural Resources Summit.
The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, workforce capacity-building, strategic collaboration on resource exploration and development, and sharing technical expertise.
Minister Daahir used the summit as an opportunity to deepen Somalia’s diplomatic and economic ties with participating nations, aiming to build effective partnerships that will support the sustainable development of Somalia’s natural resources.
These engagements form part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to establish meaningful international cooperation to boost the country’s economic growth and improve services in the petroleum and mining sectors.
