Nairobi, Kenya – The Somali Ambassador to Kenya, Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, graced a vibrant cultural performance organized by Somali students at the United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) in Nairobi.
The event, which showcased Somalia’s rich cultural heritage, featured traditional songs and programs performed by Somali students studying at the prestigious university. Members of the Somali Embassy’s diplomatic corps were also present, alongside other diplomats and African ambassadors based in Nairobi.
Ambassador Abdulle praised the students for their dedication to preserving and promoting Somali culture. “We commend these young ambassadors for their efforts in highlighting the beauty of our traditions and uniting people through art and music,” he said.
USIU-Africa, one of Kenya’s and Africa’s leading universities, hosts a significant number of Somali students pursuing various academic disciplines. The cultural performance served as a platform to celebrate Somali identity while fostering cross-cultural exchange among attendees.
The event showed the strong educational and cultural ties between Somalia and Kenya, with the ambassador reaffirming support for Somali students abroad.
