Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, chaired a high-level security meeting focused on strengthening security measures in the capital, Mogadishu, and its surrounding areas to counter potential threats during the holy month of Ramadan.
Security agencies provided updates on the progress made in maintaining stability in the capital and nearby regions. The meeting also discussed strategies for enhancing coordination between security forces and the public to ensure a safer environment for residents.
Prime Minister Hamza commended the security agencies for their efforts in safeguarding the city and instructed them, along with the Banadir regional administration, to intensify their operations. He emphasized that extremist groups are in decline and urged continued vigilance to prevent any disruptions to peace and stability.
The Somali government remains committed to ensuring the safety of its citizens, particularly during this sacred month, as security forces work to neutralize threats posed by extremist elements.
