Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Somali National Army’s 143rd Brigade conducted a planned operation aimed at clearing areas in the Afgooye district of the Lower Shabelle region.
This operation was primarily executed in the village of Gaala-war, located 5 kilometers west of Afgooye, as well as in surrounding forested areas where militants associated with Al-Shabaab had been hiding in recent days.
Brigade Commander, senior lieutenant Nuur Maxamed Gaabow, known as “Nur Farey,” confirmed that the nation’s heroes successfully eliminated all militant hideouts and disrupted their activities, which included acts of terrorism such as bombings and targeted killings.
