Mogadishu, (SONNA): The Century Vision Conference, organized by the National Economic Council, recently commenced in Mogadishu. The event saw the attendance of key figures including ministers from the Somali Government, the Presidential Advisor on Economic Affairs, heads of state and universities, civil society organizations, businessmen, and the Somali Chamber of Commerce.
The conference was officially opened by the Minister of Livestock, Forestry and Range of the Federal Government, with the presence of all ministries focused on economic development at both the federal and state levels. Representatives from civil society, academia, and various sectors of society also participated in the event.
The primary focus of the conference is to align the country’s production strategy with the national vision plan for 2060. This alignment aims to foster the development of Somalia’s economic infrastructure, paving the way for a more prosperous and developed nation.
