Arusha, (SONNA) – The 24th Ordinary Summit of the East African Community (EAC) Heads of State which was held in Arusha, Tanzania released a communique themed: Promoting trade, sustainable development, and peace and security for improved livelihoods.
The Summit was attended by Heads of States from the EAC including Presidents Samia Suluhu, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, William Samoei Ruto, Salva Kiir Mayardit, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, Paul Kagame, Vice President Prosper Bazombanza who is representing President of Burundi, Évariste Ndayishimiye from Tanzania, Somalia, Kenya, Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, and other officials.
