Mogadishu, (SONNA):The Director General of the Immigration and Citizenship Agency, Mr. Ahmed Saeed Mohamed, officially opened the Feer-Feer border crossing in the Hiran Region of the Hirshabele Regional Government. The ceremony marked a significant step in enhancing the country’s security and facilitating cross-border travel.
The newly equipped and operational center will play a crucial role in monitoring migration and safeguarding the country’s borders. It represents a major milestone in strengthening security measures.
The Immigration Agency has additional plans to enhance facilities at other border points of entry. These improvements aim to streamline travel processes and ensure efficient monitoring.
Feer-Feer serves as a vital trade gateway between Somalia and Ethiopia. It facilitates the transport of various goods, contributing to economic ties between the two nations.
