Mogadishu, SONNA – The Council of Ministers has approved the appointment of Brigadier General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyadin Addow as the new Commander of the Somali National Army. The appointment follows a proposal from the Ministry of Defense.
Brigadier General Addow brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has previously held various military positions, including Commander of the National Presidential Guard Brigade.
Brigadier General Addow replaces General Odawa Yusuf, who has held the position since March 2019.
