Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somali Police forces on Sunday seized a large amount of US Dollar at Aden Abdulle International Airport in which a plane registered in Kenya was carrying the illegal money, SONNA reported.
Abdi Hassan Mohamed, Somali police Commissioner told on Twitter post that the police forces are investigating the money that entered into the country illegally.
“Police forces stationed at Aden Abdulle International Airport captured large amount of money that entered into the country illegally and it was a plane from Kenya”, Mr. Mohamed said.
He added that the forces are currently investigating into the incident.
It is not the first time, Somali Police seize such illegal money at the airport.
