Two people killed in suicide bomb in Mogadishu

Mogadishu(SONNA)-Two people were on Tuesday morning killed after a suicide bomber blew up himself at TurkSom military training base in Wadajir district in the capital Mogadishu, SONNA reported.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Information, Ismail Mukhtar Omar told Somali National News Agency that Turkey security guard killed the suicide bomber after refusing reluctantly to stop.

“ Al-Shabab suicide bomber wearing a vest blew up himself  at TurkSom military base killing two civillians this morning, no more cassualties, but his intention was to cause more damage,” Mr. Omar said.

He added that there were students in queue for military training recruitment at the time of the suicide attack.

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned today’s attack in Mogadishu

“We condemn the suicide attack perpetrated today in front of a primary school near TURKSOM Military Training Academy in Mogadishu”, it said in a statement.

“We share the grief of the friendly and brotherly Somali people, wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives during the attack and extend our condolences to their families”, the statement added.
