Riyadh(SONNA)-Given its role in ensuring sufficient supplies of food, especially red meats, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has lifted the temporary ban imposed on livestock imports from Somalia to support the local markets.
“It is projected that at least 600,000 sheep and 100,000 camels will be delivered to Saudi Arabia local markets, within 30 days, after completion of the quarantine period,” said the ministry.
The ministry confirmed that this action was taken after setting all quarantine requirements that will protect the kingdom from the risks of epidemic animal diseases.
