Mogadishu (SONNA): The National Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, in cooperation with authorities in Lower Shabelle region, has officially launched voter registration in Awdheegle for the upcoming one-person-one-vote elections.
The launch ceremony was inaugurated by the District Commissioner, Mohamed Ibrahim Abukar, alongside other officials, who also registered at the designated centers.
Residents from various segments of the community turned out in large numbers to take part in the registration process, expressing enthusiasm about participating in direct elections.
Dahir Muse Osman, representing the electoral commission, called on local residents to actively engage in the voter registration and upcoming electoral process.
