Minister of Information Receives Acting Libyan Ambassador to Somalia

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdifatah Qasim Mahmoud, on Tuesday received the Acting Ambassador of Libya to Somalia, H.E. Nasr Mohamed Al-Sanusi, at the ministry headquarters in Mogadishu during a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
During the visit, Minister Abdifatah briefed the ambassador on the ministry’s key institutions and activities, including the Somali National Television (SNTV), Radio Mogadishu, the Somali National News Agency (SONNA), Dalka newspaper, and the national archives of Radio Mogadishu.
Following the tour, the two officials held talks focusing on cooperation between Somalia and Libya in the fields of information, culture and tourism. Ambassador Al-Sanusi congratulated the minister on his recent appointment and expressed confidence in his leadership in advancing the ministry’s strategic objectives.
The meeting also explored opportunities to expand institutional cooperation, promote the exchange of expertise and experience, and strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing collaboration and coordination in the areas of media, culture and tourism, underscoring the importance of the longstanding brotherly relations between Somalia and Libya and their shared interest in deepening cooperation.
