Mogadishu(SONNA)-United States Ambassador to Somalia, Donald Yamamota congratulated the Federal Government of Somalia on having Civil Aviation Law and new Director General for the Somali Civil Aviation Authority, SONNA reported.
“Ambassador Yamamoto and U.S. Embassy Mogadishu team congratulate Somalia on the enactment of the Civil Aviation Law formally establishing the Somali Civil Aviation Authority under the newly nominated Director General Ahmed Moallin. We look forward to work with you on improving the air transport sector”, The U.S Embassy said on Facebook.
This comes a day after President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo signed the Civil Aviation Act into a law as the two Houses of Parliament passed this. The President appointed Ahmed Moallim Hassan as the new Director of the Somali Civil Aviation Authority.
