Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Somali National Army’s Commander, Major General Odowaa Yusuf Raage, welcomed the Chief of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Metin Gurak, upon his arrival in Mogadishu, where he received a warm and high-level reception.
At Aden Adde International Airport, General Metin Gurak was received alongside the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia and other senior officials. His visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen military cooperation between Somalia and Türkiye.
During his stay, General Metin Gurak, together with General Odowaa Yusuf Raage, visited the Port of Mogadishu, where a Turkish naval warship was stationed. They also toured the Turk-Som Military Academy, highlighting the continued collaboration in defense and security between the two nations.
