Baidoa, (SONNA) — The Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe held a productive meeting on Saturday night in Baidoa with representatives from several political organizations that participated in South West State’s recent one-person, one-vote elections.
The meeting brought together delegates from the Towfiiq, Justice and Unity (TIIR), Waaberi, Equality and Justice (SINCAD), National Vision, and Somali Citizens political organizations.
According to officials, the discussions focused on finalizing a political alliance agreement reached between the Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP) and other political groups that took part in the recent local council and regional parliamentary elections held across South West State.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participating political organizations agreed to support and jointly back the presidential candidate of the Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP) in the upcoming South West State presidential election. The groups also pledged close cooperation throughout the regional presidential electoral process.
Meanwhile, Abdifitah Hassan Afrah SINCAD spokesperson briefed the media on the newly formed political alliance involving most of the organizations that participated in the recent direct elections in South West State.
