Mogadishu, SONNA – The Speaker of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madoobe), alongside the Deputy Speaker of the two houses of parliament, His Excellency Abdullahi Omar Abshirow, chaired a significant Standing Committee meeting on Tuesday. The gathering took place at the Speaker and Committees headquarters in Villa Hargeisa, Mogadishu.
The meeting was convened to mark the opening of the 6th session of the House of the People, Somalia’s lower house of parliament. It brought together standing members of various parliamentary committees to discuss their plans for the upcoming session and review the legislative agenda, including key laws currently under consideration.
In his closing remarks, Speaker Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur emphasized the importance of the 6th session, noting that the House of the People will undertake critical tasks vital to the nation’s governance.
