Mogadishu (SONNA): The President of South West State, Abdiasis Hassan Mohamed (Laftagareen), held a meeting at the Baidoa Presidential Palace with the European Union Ambassador to Somalia, Francesca Di Mauro.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the South West State and the European Union, particularly in the areas of security, social service development, economic support, and reconstruction projects.
President Laftagareen thanked the EU for its continued support to the people of South West State, while Ambassador Di Mauro praised the administration’s efforts to enhance stability and improve essential public services.
Both sides agreed to further reinforce their partnership and accelerate ongoing development initiatives across the region.
The President was accompanied by the Ministers of Interior, Planning, Humanitarian Affairs, Women and Social Affairs, along with the Director-General of the Presidency.
