Mogadishu, SONNA — The Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, hosted an Iftar dinner for the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Somalia, H.E. Dr. Abdullahi Bin Salim Al-Nuaimi.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest between Somalia and Qatar.
During the meeting, Minister Fiqi conveyed the full support and solidarity of the Somali Government and its people with the Government and people of Qatar following the recent violent attacks in the country.
The Minister of Defense also emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation and the long-standing friendly relations between the two nations.
He reaffirmed that Somalia stands firmly with Qatar and supports the efforts of the Qatari government to safeguard the security, stability, and independence of its people.
The meeting reflected the continued close partnership between Somalia and Qatar and their shared commitment to cooperation and mutual support.
