Kigali, (SONNA) – The 21st meeting of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) Partnership Platform officially opened today in Kigali, Rwanda.
The Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Mohamed Hassan Abdulle was present at the meeting to represent Somalia.
This year’s conference focuses on preparing the African continent for the implementation of the recently adopted CAADP Kampala Declaration and its accompanying Strategic Plan (2026–2035).
The gathering provides an important platform for African Union member states, international organizations, and development partners to discuss ways to strengthen policies and strategies that advance agricultural productivity, food security, and climate resilience across Africa.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation of Somalia remains committed to playing an active role in initiatives that enhance food production systems, improve land and water management, and strengthen regional cooperation under the CAADP framework.
