Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Daud Aweis Jama, today received the European Union Ambassador to Somalia, Ms. Karin Johansson, at his office in Mogadishu.
Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in cultural development and public awareness initiatives. Minister Da’ud Aweys commended the EU for its continued support and constructive partnership with the Federal Government of Somalia, particularly in advancing culture and promoting peace.
Ambassador Johansson reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to doubling its efforts in Somalia, noting the country’s progress in various sectors that is fostering renewed hope.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism and representatives of the European Union.
