Ankara, Turkey — The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Abdifatah Abdulkadir Farah, has concluded a series of high-level working meetings in Ankara with senior officials from the Turkish Ministry of National Defence and leading defence industry companies.
During the visit, the Somali delegation engaged with executives from major defence firms, including ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, and MKE, as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and enhance Somalia’s defence capabilities.
The meetings focused on advancing strategic partnerships, exploring opportunities for technical collaboration, and supporting the modernization of Somalia’s defence sector in line with national security priorities.
The delegation accompanying the Permanent Secretary included Directors General, Department Directors, Division Heads, and advisers from the Ministry of Defence, as well as officials from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in Turkey.
The visit underscores Somalia’s continued commitment to building strong defence partnerships and enhancing institutional capacity through international cooperation.
