Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somalia’s Minister of Internal Security, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail, held talks with his Burkinabè counterpart, Mohamadou Sana, during an official visit to Burkina Faso, focusing on strengthening cooperation in counterterrorism and national security.
The meeting took place at the Ministry of Security, where both sides discussed ways to enhance collaboration in addressing shared security challenges, particularly the fight against extremist groups.
As part of the visit, the Somali delegation toured the Burkina Faso Police Academy. The minister commended African officers undergoing advanced training at the facility and encouraged them to use the opportunity to strengthen their skills in support of regional stability.
The visit underscores growing efforts by African nations to deepen security partnerships and coordinate responses to evolving threats across the continent.
