Minister of Endowments Delivers President Hassan Sheikh’s Message to Mauritanian President

Nouakchott, (SONNA) — The Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Sheikh Mukhtar Robow, delivered a special message from President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, H.E. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.

H.E. Sheikh Mukhtar, who is also the Special Envoy of the President of Somalia, briefed the Mauritanian President on the situation in Somalia and discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries.

The meeting was attended by Mauritania’s Minister of the Presidency, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Education, and Somalia’s Ambassador to Algeria and non-resident Ambassador to Mauritania, Yusuf Ahmed Hassan (Yusuf Jeego).

The engagement underscored the importance of strengthening the longstanding relations and cooperation between Somalia and Mauritania.
