Kampala, (SONNA) – The newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Uganda, Amb. Fardowsa Mohamed Qanyare, officially presented her credentials to President Yoweri Museveni.
The ceremony took place at the Ugandan Presidential Palace, where President Museveni warmly welcomed the new ambassador. During their meeting, the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in areas such as diplomacy, trade, security, and social issues.
Ambassador Fardowsa pledged to work towards enhancing the mutual relationship between Somalia and Uganda, focusing on effective cooperation that benefits both nations.
Uganda is one of the countries contributing peacekeeping forces in Somalia, and the two nations share a long-standing historical relationship across various sectors. The new ambassador is expected to play a significant role in further solidifying these ties.
