Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somali National Army backed by the Local forces on Monday carried out operation near Ceel-dheer town in Galgudud region, inflicting heavy casualties on Al-Shabaab militants.
Commander of the Local forces, Abdulle Mohamud Barre told Somali National News Agency that the joint forces defeated the terrorists, saying they killed 10 members including two commanders during the operation.
The operation comes a day after the Somali National Army’s Danab forces and International Partners killed in 60 Al-Shabaab militants at an area about eight kilometers southwest of Halgan town in Hiiraan region.
