Beledweyn, (SONNA) – The Somali National Army (SNA), in collaboration with local forces, successfully carried out operations to liberate several key areas in eastern Hiiraan. Among the locations freed from Al-Shabaab militants are Beero Yabaal, Bur Abooto, Eega Galmay, Jidcillaan, and Cadow Gurey.
Speaking to the state media, Colonel Abdullahi Omar, Commander of the SNA’s 27th Division, confirmed that the operations resulted in the elimination of several militants and the destruction of critical enemy hideouts. Additionally, the forces captured weapons and equipment from the militants during the mission.
These operations are part of an ongoing nationwide campaign to eradicate Al-Shabaab and restore peace and stability in liberated regions. The successful mission marks another step forward in securing Somalia and disrupting militant activities.
