Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Somali National Army and International partners carried out an operation on Sunday and killed 18 Al-Shabab militants in the villages of Baladul-Amin and Baladul-Karim in the Lower Shabelle region.
According to government officials, the army attacked farms based on intelligence that indicated the militants had covertly assembled within these farming areas.
The operation comes as the Government plans to finalize the first phase of the offensive operations against the Al-Shabaab terrorists and liberate the country.
