Bay, (SONNA) – The Security forces in Berdale district, Bay region, have successfully carried out a planned operation in the Kooney area, resulting in the killing of a militant leader named Macallin Qaddiid. He was responsible for collecting extortion funds from the Somali people on behalf of the Al-Shabaab terrorists. The forces also seized weapons and other materials from the militant leader during the operation.
The successful operation is seen as a significant blow to the group’s local operations, further contributing to ongoing security efforts in the region.
