Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, today welcomed Mr. Suleiman Hassan Waberi, a senior member of FIFA and President of the Djibouti Football Federation, at his office in Mogadishu.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohamed Abdiqadir Ali, Deputy Minister Dahabo Suusow Mahmoud, senior officials, and Somali Football Federation President, Ali Abdi Mohamed (Ali Shiine), who accompanied the visiting guest.
Mr. Waberi’s official visit began at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, where he held an introductory and consultative meeting with ministry officials before proceeding to the Prime Minister’s office.
Discussions focused on strengthening football ties between Somalia and Djibouti, advancing regional sports development, and enhancing FIFA and CAF support for football growth across the Horn of Africa.
