Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Commander of the Somali National Army, Major General Odewa Yusuf Raage had a fruitful meeting with the Commander of the Italian Forces, General General Luciano Portolano who is in Mogadishu for an official visit.
The meeting discussed enhancing bilateral ties between Somalia and Italy in the fields of military cooperation. Commander Raage thanked the Italian government for their unwavering support for the Somali army, particularly in their training and equipping them.
The meeting of the two officials indicates the longstanding relationship between Somalia and Italy in terms of security and peace.
