MOGADISHU, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, has extended his heartfelt condolences on the passing of General Mohamed Yusuf Sheikh Omar (Maddaale), a veteran officer and one of the longstanding pillars of the Somali Police Force.

The Prime Minister praised the late General’s decades of dedicated service, describing him as a symbol of discipline, integrity, and patriotism who played a vital role in building and strengthening Somalia’s law enforcement institutions.

“Innaa Lillaahi Wa Innaa Ilayhi Raajicuun. I send my sincere condolences to the family, colleagues in the Somali Police Force, and the entire Somali nation on the loss of General Maddaale,” said Prime Minister Hamza. “He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to national security and his contributions to the development of a professional and principled police force.”

Prime Minister Hamza prayed for the Almighty to grant General Maddaale Jannatul Firdows and wished patience and strength for his family and the nation during this time of mourning.
