Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia and Mogadishu University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to strengthen cooperation in the development of Somalia’s media, cultural heritage, and tourism sectors.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism H.E. Daud Aweis Jama on behalf of the Ministry, and Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed Mursal, President of Mogadishu University. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both institutions, including Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Abdullahi Hayir Ducaale, and technical teams who contributed to the preparation of the agreement.
The MoU aims to promote academic collaboration, professional training, and knowledge-sharing in areas related to media development, cultural preservation, and tourism promotion. The partnership is aligned with the government’s broader vision to enhance institutional capacity and improve the quality and reach of Somali media and cultural initiatives.
