Mogadishu (SONNA)-Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Osman Dubbe met with the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Qin Jian, to discuss issues including Strengthening bilateral relations, SONNA reported.
The meeting focused on strengthening media cooperation between the two countries.
Mr. Dubbe appreciated the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia for his cooperation with the state-run media, noting the need to increase opportunities to improve the skills of the journalists and agreed to promote the long-standing friendship between the two countries.
Ambassador Qin Jian welcomed the remarks of the Minister, pledging that both media would work closely together to develop and protect the interests of both Somalia and China.
Information Minister and Ambassador Qin Jian were accompanied by the Director of the Somali National News Agency (SONNA) Ali Abdukadir Ali and Adviser Abdirahman Mubarak.
