Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), has congratulated Adan Abdullahi Aw-Hassan on his election as Speaker of the North Eastern State Assembly, following a vote held in Las’anod.
Speaker Madobe commended the members of the regional assembly for fulfilling one of their key constitutional duties and prayed for success for the newly elected Speaker and his two deputies. He also affirmed that the Federal Parliament remains ready to cooperate and work closely with the new leadership.
In the election, lawmakers of the North Eastern State Assembly chose Adan Abdullahi Aw-Hassan as Speaker, Amran Ahmed Hassan as First Deputy Speaker, and Abdirisaq Jama Warsame as Second Deputy Speaker.
