Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has commended the Government for the progress and achievements it has delivered over the past year, noting its role in improving public services and advancing national development goals.
The President officially inaugurated the new Government Performance Monitoring Unit during a ceremony held at the Office of the Prime Minister, marking the conclusion of the DanQaran Government’s accountability review. The session, led by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, assessed the implementation of ministerial commitments and progress made on agreed targets.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre briefed the President on the government’s accomplishments over the past year and reaffirmed that ministries must fully honor their pledges to the Somali people, stressing that accountability will remain a constant principle.
President Mohamud and Prime Minister Barre jointly presented awards to several ministers in recognition of their service, transparency, and performance in delivering public programs.
