Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somali National Army on Monday killed eight al-Shabab militants and captured two senior operatives after conducting a special operation against the group at areas near Galcad and Masagaway towns in Galgudud region under Galmudug State in Somalia.
SNA commander in the region, Osman Abdullahi told Somali National News Agency that the operation happened while the forces were on patrol, saying it was very successful operation.
“Somali National Army killed eight terrorist fighters and captured two senior operatives who were in charge of Intelligence and tax collection for the group in Galgudud region, we will submit to the relevant courts for trail”, He said.
The operation comes days after the Somali National Army together with International Partners intensified operations against the group fighters in the country with military progress.
