Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has awarded the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism the Medal of Distinction in recognition of its outstanding service to the nation. The award was received by Minister Daud Aweis Jama, whose leadership and directives were credited for the ministry’s remarkable achievements.
The Ministry earned the honor for its pivotal role and tireless efforts over the past three years under the DanQaran Government, led by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre. Its contributions have been particularly significant in supporting the fight against Al-Shabaab, strengthening state authority, and raising public awareness across the country.
