Mogadishu (SONNA): District commissioner of Hamar Jajab district in the Banadir region, Mohamed Abdi Hayle, has been killed in a treacherous attack on his way to his house located in the outskirts of the capital, Mogadishu, SONNA reported.
According to police spokesman Sadiq Doodishe who confirmed the killing. Doodishe added that Hayle was killed by suspected Al-Shabab fighters.
Hayle had been the district commissioner for Hamar Jabjab, a section of the city that contains the Port of Mogadishu.
Mayor of Mogadishu and senior officials from federal government have attended today on Saturday the funeral prayers for late Mohamed Abdi Hayle, the Commissioner of Hamar Jajab district.
