Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar (Ali Balcad), has affirmed that former Somali leaders will be part of the national dialogue initiative announced by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
Speaking during a consultation meeting between political organizations and the Federal Government, Minister Ali Balcad emphasized that the President’s efforts aim to foster national unity and mutual understanding. He noted that the insights and experience of former leaders are essential to the country’s political process.
The Minister stressed the need for genuine national dialogue to resolve political differences and strengthen Somalia’s state-building efforts.
The consultative meeting, held in Mogadishu, focused on key national issues including security, the constitution, and elections. It serves as a preparatory step for the upcoming national conference called by the President to promote inclusive political consensus.
