Mogadishu, (SONNA) — Dr. Maryam Qasim, Chairperson of Somalia’s Independent National Human Rights Commission, met with Kirsten Young, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Somalia, in their first official meeting since the new Commission leadership took office earlier this month.
The meeting focused on advancing human rights, building institutional capacity, promoting accountability, and strengthening collaboration between the Commission and the United Nations.
